Yorkshire bank total unplanned fees £35

Ok so I have my rent to pay on Friday (first payment due to having my own place) and I have just looked on my account only to find a £35 charge.

I haven't gone over my overdraft and I've been in credit for the last 2 months at least and even when I wasn't I transferred money over (but that charge is £25 anyway), I don't use cheques and all my direct debits have always been paid.

I'm really stumped here as I'm £35 down on my rent witch is due Friday and I haven't a penny to my name for weeks and I hunk this is totally unfair from Yorkshire Bank. I'm going to ring them tomorrow but wondered of someone could give me some advice.

Thanks Jamie

No one will have the answer you're looking for here....give them a call & you'll know what it is all about...
  • If the charge was just recently deducted, it must have been advised three or four weeks earlier. Charges are not (any more) taken instantly, they have to be notified, to give you the opportunity to have sufficient funds available.

Check your current or your previous statement, that should tell you why there was a charge.
