Online Tax Return User ID not working

Hi, about to fill in a self assessment Tax return online as we have before only to find that the user ID is not valid (it is correct as we still have the card it came on) no problems with it last year and yes I know we have left it last minute but what should we do ?

is it definitely the User ID or is it the password?

The user id and password would have been set up when you registered. The activation code would have then come through the post within 7 days and you should have used this to activate the account within 28 days. As previous reply check you are entering the correct details?

Just tried again and it is working now, yes it was the right ID as it was written on the Card they provided me with (used the same one for a few years now) I knew what the password was. Just a bit odd really but panic over anyway !
