I bought a copy of office 2003 off ebay and now Microsoft have but a stop due to it being a copy, but it won't let me uninstall it, it asks for a patch package, does anyone know a way round it or a web site to help me.

How are you uninstalling it? control panel add/remove programs? also when uninstalling it insert the disc, then save your money and get open office without the cost and any unwanted spyware or adware or viruses and go give the ebayer a bad rep

Thanks, I have tried through add/remove and also put the disc in and yes I have now installed open office, but I would just like to get rid of this office now.0

System restore would be good.
Power on PC and while it is booting keep pressing F8. At the menu chosse safe mode. When in Windows it will ask if you want to use a restore point, Chosse yes and choose a date before you installed it.
The CD is probably a modified install that doesn't contain all the files (some needed to uninstall suite) you need.
Hope you sort out0 -
And I hope that you've reported the vendor to Ebay, MS and the software piracy people?0
