Maintenance grant -effect on benefits

Hi
My son will be 16 in September and will be attending college full time. I currently work part time (having 2 other younger children) and earn about £7500 per year.
I receive housing and council tax benefit, child benefit and child and working tax credit. I am wondering whether the maintenance grant will impact on the housing and council tax benefit and working and child tax credits.
Also if anyone has a deeper knowledge, if he was successful in securing an apprenticeship through one of the college schemes (there seem to be several different types, very confusing) and received 'pay' for this presumably this would mean his child benefit would stop and also the other benefits I mentioned above would be affected also........two different scenarios I am trying to get my head around and thinking ahead to how I would need to budget.
Thanks in advance

What maintenance grant?
If your son is no longer in FT non advanced FE you will no longer receive CB/CTC for him but, obviously the money he pays for his keep will go some way to compensate for this.0
