PAYE tax demand

in Cutting tax
I have just recieved a tax demand for 2011/12 stating an under payment on my salary, which I agree is unfortunately correct but in the statement it says I had an income of £1950 from JSA which isnt right I didnt claim anything in this tax year. So on advice of HMRC I wrote to DWP for them to give me a letter to back this up but as I didnt claim I'm not on their system! My partner was in receipt of IB and they suggested that it was a joint claim. My partner has never included me in any of his claims. What can I do as apart from sending my bank statements with no payment from DWP I cant prove that I didnt recieve any benefits and only had my wages. I can see me having to just pay it if I cant prove otherwise!
