My husband bought me a Kindle Fire HD (8.9") when we were in America in November. The sales assistant assured it us it would work perfectly well in the UK. In the UK we only have the 7" version on sale from Amazon as yet. Although I am not very 'techy' I have been playing around with it and it has been registered as my 2nd Kindle (I have the original 6" one too). As it just appears to be a larger version of the Kindle Fire 7"HD I can't understand why I can't get it to work properly.
It shows all my Kindle books and I have set up my email account but I can't get any apps or BBC I-Player.
To be honest it is a bit of a white elephant! I really wanted an I-Pad but this was what I got so I will have to try and make the best of it.
Has anyone any suggestions of anything to do in order to be able to download apps? If not, can anyone give me a phone number where I might get some tech support from Amazon.
