Did you get anywhere with this?
I have a small terraced house, but work overseas for 10 months a year. We leave the heating timed for an hour everyday in the Winter when we are not there (which works fine) and off completely during the summer. Our average Gas usage is 20,000 kWh per annum.
This seems crazy high considering our usage. I noticed that our meter is the same as yours: 1984 UGI U6 Black Spot!
I have been trying to get Southern Electric to replace it, but they are claiming there is not a problem with these meters (((0
