Insurance question -swapped cars
Hi Guys
I ran a Rover diesel for several years and last year swapped it for an Alfa petrol (best car I have ever owned), but couldnt afford to keep running it due to my silly commute
anyway I swapped the Alfa for another old Rover diesel but my monthly premium has stayed the same as it was for the Alfa.
My previous Quotes for the Alfa were £900 odd but for the Rover Diesel its more like 300-400 odd, is there a reason my monthly premium hasn't come down.
I am getting quotes of something daft like £30 a month on go compare etc for the Rover but I am paying £73 a month for it at the moment
same price I was paying for a sports car a few months ago.
what's the best course of action or is it just tough as I swapped the car halfway through the policy ?
Should I just accept my fate till renewal ?

Have you asked what it would cost to cancel the policy? It might be cheaper to do that and take out a new one.0

How far into the policy are you? and did you pay the admin fees straight out or have they added them to the premium?
Admin fees added onto the policy may be the reason. Also you maybe with a different company that rate the rover higher.
Rover to alfa may have meant a swap of company but the swap back didnt need a change.
