The key issue is whether the extreme anxiety about going out is selective or not. Are we talking about someone who in 20 years (or even at least in the past year) has never ever been outside of their house? Surely they would have had to call the GP to their house at least once (if not in the previous year, in the previous 5).
The problem is when the patient claims they absolutely cannot go out of their house, yet manage to make it to GP or hospital appointment, or to go and claim their benefits, or to pick their kids up from school etc...0 -
Why won't they let you have a home visit? Seems incredibly unfair. Why do they let some people have home visits and not others? What is the criteria?0

The DWP state:
Accessibility and claimants who require extra support
Q. What are you doing to support vulnerable claimants?

People having their benefit reassessed will have access to our existing face-to-face services and provision for home visits where this is necessary.
In light of the above I suggest an appeal quoting the above and that you believe the DWP has failed in it's public sector equality duties to adapt it's processes to meet your needs and arrange a home visit. Needs which have been confirmed by your registered medical professional as requiring a home visit.
I would send a copy to your MP and ask him/her to intervene as a matter of urgency as you will not receive an income until a home visit is organised.

Can you ask your GP to confirm that s/he has to visit you at home? This might carry some weight.0

I read it that their GP requested a home visit from ATOS x 3, not that the GP visits at home.0 -

You are absolutely correct, and this too adds to the OP's grounds for appeal as a GP would not visit if it was felt the patient could attend the surgery (potentially a more familiar place than the Atos assessment centre).0 -

There is NO suepgestion that OP. has home visits - yet to be clarified. They could go to surgery on a regular basis.0 -

Did you see what your GP wrote in these 3 letters?. The problem could lie in the way he has worded them. If he jsut wrote a single line saying you need a home visit and no more they tned to ignore it. He needs to explain why in some details. eg as already said, you have to have home visits for all medical related appointments.0
