Errors are made no matter which shop, offers not logged on to computers either through error or no info sent down from Head Office pricing. As always the onus is on the shopper to check your receipt and not rely on the computes, tills, SEL's being right!

But isn't it interesting how it is almost always in the company's favour, never the customer!!

Oh, I don't know about that one. The Grabbit forum is normally full of people trying to take advantage of mistakes made by the supermarkets.

No, not true. It's just that it's not memorable when it happens in your favour- I can't detail a single one of the instances where it's happened in my favour, all I can say is, probably wasn't at M&S. I just don't shop there that often.

All I remember is that there have been instances where my bill has been unexpectedly cheaper because I wasn't expecting my purchase to be part of a multibuy offer.

My experience differs from yours. I always check my bills carefully and there have been far more times I have been overcharged than undercharged but maybe I am just unlucky.
