    I would wholeheartedly agree with this. I too used to be like you and wouldn't use credit cards. However I do now have one which I use for large purchases over £100 as they offer better protection than many debit cards. I always pay it off in full each month though so get all the benefits of the card without incurring the astronomical interest :D

    If your debit card was a Visa brand, you may well still be covered as there is a Visa customer service guarantee - it is promoted by Visa alone, it s not a legal requirement, which is why MC users are stuffed!
