I LOVED Galvin @ Windows.

Nothing like eating a delicious lunch whilst peering into the Queen's back garden.

Not really 'posh', and one of a chain, but the Browns on the river at Butlers Wharf is great for location, especially if you can book an outside table (sheltered by glass screens, so viable even on cool evenings), and in my view, better than Jamie's places which are also a chain, and much cheaper than Ramsey's. Oxo Tower http://www.harveynichols.com/oxo-tower-london is a lot dearer but also has spectacular views.

And while we're on reasonable riverside resto's which we've enjoyed, how about Northbank, opposite the Tate Modern? http://www.northbankrestaurant.com/
