Well done for posting that. Now the RPI staff will just join the group and post false information so that the people who normally "benefit" from it will get caught anyway.

well done Sherlock but from all the publicity in the local papers about checkwatch i wonder if metro or the police have fort of this already, send them an email hopefully they will organise that big sting ur after ;)

The police and/or train companies can't monitor every site on the entire internet for illegal activity, so assuming that anything is legal until it's shut down is incredibly moronic...

its not illegal to state where metro staff are at and with the publicity checkwatch have had http://tyneandwear.sky.com/news/article/41741 which states the police/metro r up to speed.

perhaps the police have more important things to do and metro know they wud get a good kicking off facebooks lawyers if they tried anything

And what possible reason would fare-paying passengers have to avoid these apparent "thugs"? It's obvious to anyone with more than 2 brain cells that it's for people who don't have tickets - i.e. the only people who could possibly be caught out by the "thugs"...

if you look @dean hill's reply on the above link. he was a fare paying passenger who got hassled by metro staff for having one to many so perhaps its best to avoid them

Your (poor) argument would say that maps/tomtom/websites etc shouldn't warn about speed camera locations either!!

As my argument wasn't that it's illegal to say where Metro staff are (it blatantly isn't...) then no, it wouldn't say that.

Right... Because I challenge your nonsense I must therefore be drunk...

I didn't say it was illegal. I said your claim that basically said everything on the internet should be assumed to be legal unless it's taken down by the authorities is moronic.

He got hassled for being drunk, that has absolutely nothing to do with having a ticket or not... (And is technically against the law regardless - though obviously rarely enforced) Though you will presumably try to pretend otherwise now, you clearly presented that website as a "loophole" to save money on your tickets - if fare evasion wasn't the "loophole" then what on earth was.

  • Special notes regarding children’s tickets
Children aged under 16 at the time that the Railcard is purchased may still travel at the discounted child’s fare throughout the validity period of the 1-year Railcard, even if they become 16 years old during that time or, for a 3-year Railcard until the child turns 17.
