Also bear in mind that GroupSave is only valid on certain companies (mostly those operating in the South). The Railcard discounted tickets will be valid on any operator. Also Groupsave is only available on walk-up fares, not Advance fares.

I think for your group the Railcard will give a bigger discount, but you'll have to factor in the cost of buying it initially, so unless it's a long journey Groupsave's likely to who out.

thetrainline is the worst place to buy tickets from, don't ever use it unless they pay you.

You can search train times and link to buy tickets from www.networkrail.co.uk

You might want to look up the definition of a "loophole". Deliberate fare evasion is not included.

That is one of the most absurd things I've ever read on here... You have used the internet before? The police and/or train companies can't monitor every site on the entire internet for illegal activity, so assuming that anything is legal until it's shut down is incredibly moronic...

And what possible reason would fare-paying passengers have to avoid these apparent "thugs"? It's obvious to anyone with more than 2 brain cells that it's for people who don't have tickets - i.e. the only people who could possibly be caught out by the "thugs"...

When my DD was 16 I had her as second adult on card and she would use it when she was travelling with DS, he was 14 but taller than her and looked older. They never had a problem, I don't think they were ever asked for evidence of their age but I think they used to take passports so they could prove ages if asked.

Your (poor) argument would say that maps/tomtom/websites etc shouldn't warn about speed camera locations either!!

Well done for posting that. Now the RPI staff will just join the group and post false information so that the people who normally "benefit" from it will get caught anyway.
    Can I help?
