clunk noise when accelerating
when i accelerate and change gear 1st - 2nd - 3rd i can hear like a hollow clunk noise (its probably there in 4th and 5th to but can hear due to engine/road noise) ive tried slowly accelrating in 1st in car park and its still there. i have noticed it seems more when when coming off the clutch as im sure its not there if im in 1st and come on and off the accelerator
my friend had a quick look at the engine mounts and exhaust and said they seemed ok.
any ideas?

the clutch makes a squealing noise under load too, like when i start off in first usually on a hill of junction 0 -
Probably a wild idea, but just check for play in door hinges (bare in mind that I can't listen to the noise on your car) - sometimes you get a light clunk if your door is moving a little as you accelerate and slow down. And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0

it coming from underneath near the front, i can almost feel it in the pedal. i only got the car a few weeks ago from evans halshaw and its been back twice and they keep 'adjusting the clutch' to the point now that it judders at the top on the bite point and i can sometimes smell a burning clutch smell

if you are not happy i would be taking it straight back and telling them to fix it properly0

I took it there this morning and the mechanic said straight away it was the DMF, and they would have a look but it hadnt gone 'yet' , so basically its on its way out, i think they should replace it because because the fault was present when I bought the car?
Is this correct?0
