yorkshire bank charges and lack of help

i would like some advice on a complaint that i have made to yorkshire bank with regards bank charges and lack of help at a time of finanthcial hardship.
I called yorkshire bank on sunday 27th january 2013 after being in touch with debt management company and CAB,
i lost my job whilst pregnant in dec 2010 (jobcentre plus) as did my partner, my partner and i then seperated. i had debts mounting and was getting charged£35.00 a time for returned unpaid directdebits, i had spoken to the bank about my situation on a number of occasions and each time i was offered an overdraft which was then turned down anyway, despite being in extreme financial hardship which was leaving me unable to provide for my daughter, and being in tears on many occasion whilst on the phone top the bank, i was NEVER once told about the bank having a special department to help those at a time of financial hardship. instead i was being offered overdrafts, which if were ever successful were just encouraging more debt.
on sunday 27th jan 2013 i called an logged a complaint, and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours after listening to phone calls i had made myself stressing ,y financial hardship, true to their word a manager from my local yorkshire bank has today called me and asked me to go into the bank tomorrow at 11.30, i would like to know if there is anything i should take with me? or what this could mean? i suffer with anxiety so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Financial hardship claims are looked into in a lot of detail. Your spending is scrutinised and anything that would not be classed as essential could affect the outcome of your claim. Check your statements before you go to see if there is anything they might question you about, although they will have this information in front of them anyway, best to prepare yourself before you go.
The reason you were never advised of this before could be because of what they could see on your account. True financial hardship will always be dealt with sympathetically by the banks, it's just that some people (not accusing you OP) have differing views on what is classed as essential spending !0 -
thanks for the advice! i dont think there is much to scrutinise, will see what tomorrow brings0
