Claiming DLA?

I'm wondering if I should be claiming DLA. I've got remitting relapsing MS which was diagnosed in April 2012. I have trouble with fatigue but not all the time. When I do get it, I can't really leave the house. I can't drive anywhere that I don't know as I just can't cope with it. I've had one relapse since last April and didn't really leave the house for two weeks with a phased return to work. When I get a bout of fatigue my husband has to do all the cooking, housework etc. I save what energy I have for work.
But at the moment I'm still working full time. As my problems are not all the time, would I qualify? I just don't know! I'm managing to go to swimming and pilates but this is essential to keep me fit and mobile for as long as possible.
Many thanks for the advice

It depends how often you need the care, one period of 2 weeks in the space of 7-8 months wouldn't qualify you. Low rate care is needing 1 hour of care every day on average or being unable to cook yourself a simple main meal if you have the ingredients.0

I need help with care, cooking, housework etc quite a lot of the time. Probably at least 4-5 days a week. I can manage personal care though. Tonight for example, I've got home from work and I'm shattered. My husband is sorting dinner and washing up.

DLA care can be awarded if the claimant cannot prepare and cook themselves a meal, but other household tasks and shopping do not count.0

Housework doesn't count, cooking does.
The criteria are more for things like cooking, washing yourself, getting to the toilet, feeding yourself, getting yourself dressed and undressed, getting into or out of bed and things like that. Walking also gets assessed but only if you need help outdoors or if you struggle to walk for 30 meters at a time.0 -

an indefinate award doesnt mean indefinate.
all it means is that there is no set time scale for reassessment.
it can be reveiwed at any time0
