My name listed on winners on woman own but no email?

Hi
I have spotted my Initial and surname on the winners section on Womans Own on the 23/01/2013. I have not received an email though. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm aware that it could be someone else, however my surname is quite unique so I have a feeling it may just be me!
Ive just gone into my account settings and I did not have ticked a box saying I would like updates about competitions via email. Could this potentially stop them emailing me informing me I had won? or is it likely I haven't.
Ive emailed them anyway, but i'm excited so thought i'd ask if anyone else had this problem
Thanks

Site statesWinners will be drawn and notified within 28 days of the closing date by email
I wouldn't have thought your options would stop them sending winner notification (have you checked your junk folder?).0 -
Was it the mag site or Facebook?
Facebook Woman's Own just announces the winners & ask them to email their details, (Despite FB guidelines forbidding pages using FB to inform winners...)
Mr GB won on there ages ago, but didn't see the notification until after the cut off date. He emailled them anyhow, saying how disappointed he was not to be able to surprise me with a prize & pointed out that he'd only missed it becasue they'd not followed the guidelines
W.O's response was that they didn't now have the origobal prize and other companies run their comps that way!
However, all's well that end well, they sent a nice goodie bag for him to treat me with insteadWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Oh didn't see that, thanks!
Yes I have, nothing in there.

To above poster, it was on the mag site.
I'm aware of facebooks stupid rules, Ive seen a few people loose out because there not notified. Unless you spend all day on facebook its very likely you will miss them announcing your name, since they can't even tag you in it!
This is why I tend to avoid facebook comps

I've had WEMs for all the mag wins except for the ones where the promoter was the magazine itself and then the prizes just turned up.
Having the box un/ticked makes no difference.2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
If the prize is a physical object, such as an ipad, then you don't have to do anything. Just wait for it to arrive (or in my experience of these comps, wait 28 days and chase up several times). If it's a time sensitive prize such as tickets, I would start chasing now!0

I spotted my name on one of those mag type contests online. (On a winners list) and emailed them to say I had not recieved anything.
They replied saying that another person with the same name as me had won.Shame they dont list location too.
Wishing you all good luck!

Hi - Recently, I noticed my name on Womans Own & WOTV winners lists & hadn't had e-mails - not in my spam folder either. This was a month after the prize end date. Following advice from here I contacted them via the 'Contact us' section at the bottom of the page and received a reply the next day saying they would look into it. 1 or 2 weeks later I received e-mails to say indeed it was me & received the prizes shortly after.
Hope you get it sorted0
