Faulty item from ebay seller advise please

Hello, I bought a voice recorder from ebay cost £67.09 the seller was cash converters. on receipt the item was faulty.

I emailed the seller who sent a message saying you can return it but we wont refund just repair it. I emailed back saying I would not accept a repair. So I returned the item yesterday.

Today I got an email from cash converters saying:

We have received most of the items we sent you
back. The plastic bags the items were in were not all returned. And the padded case was not returned. Please mail us the padded case as soon as possible. Until we have received ALL items shipped to you back (as previously requested), we will be unable to proceed with your claim. The protective cover for the screen was also not returned. Please return this with the case.

I did forget to return the padded case which I have returned today this is fair enough, but plastic bags and protective cover can they really insist on this if it's a faulty item?
