Tax rebate question?

I was working from April until 14th December and i became unemployed due to redundancy.
I was claiming job seekers allowance, which is taxable, from 30th December and i started my new job on 22nd January(1st pay day is 1st February, weekly).
As i have missed at least 2 weeks, and had 3 weeks jobseekers payment, will i be due a tax rebate as my tax yearly tax has been calculated on my salary as at April 2012?

Any tax due back to you will be sorted through your payroll with your wages/salary providing you have given your new employer your p45 or completed a P46. It may not be in your February pay but should be sorted in the March pay.
What is your current tax code.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Your tax code is normal so it should sort itself out.
And well done at getting a job so quickly.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Did you give the P45 from the first job to JSA? If so, they should give you a new P45 (to give to the new employer) and possibly a small tax refund.0

Is there anything after the 810L such as Mth/Wk1?0 -
if your joint earnings and JSA total more than £8105, you wont be entitked to a rebate as you have already received your tax free allowance for the year0

This is not correct.
Each month you receive one twelfth of your tax-free allowances and the amount of tax is worked out each month. It is perfectly possible that the OP may be entitled to a tax rebate.0 -
That's what i thought because i have technically missed 6 weeks pay, minus 3 weeks £71 JSA,and my pay now is lower than previously!Money does not bring happiness...but if you are already happy it does bloody help! :rotfl:0

Can you answer the previous questions about your tax code and P45 and we might be able to help you?0
