Tired of Paypal.. any recommendations?

After recently seeing how paypal can suddenly after three weeks decide that a £400+ transaction that they authorised may be fraudulent and deducted the money from my account, leaving me with a £400 debit in my paypal account (so having a 0 balance doesn't help) and also how completely woeful they are at correspondence (so far they just quote extracts from the paypal guidelines rather than tell me anything about whats happening - for example i asked "What makes you think the transaction was fraudulent?" reply "a fraudulent transaction may occur when....") i am seriously thinking of removing paypal from my ways of paying.
I think for my low end transactions (<£30) i might stick with it, but my high end transactions - occasional PC's and laptops > £300 i might stick with cash lodgements into my account, postal orders or cheques.
Anyone else been doing this, or is there a widely used alternative to Pay Pal?

I have stopped using Paypal except when I pay for something. I don't like their fees for one thing and for another I am still waiting for a payment of £46 to arrive in my bank account from 24th March! Because of Easter there have been less working days to the weeks recently but it is now the 12th working day and the payment still isn't in my account. Im just not going to sell using paypal any more. The cheques have been coming through much quicker I must say!0

Alternatives:
NoChex - https://www.nochex.com
Pros: No chance of chargebacks. Lower fees than paypal. Very good, responsive customer service, staffed support forums (http://greenroom.nochex.com). Faster withdrawals (3-4days).
Cons: UK only, £100 transaction limit per buyer per day (until end of probationary period or 41 days - I think).
MoneyBookers - https://www.moneybookers.com
Pros: No fees for receiving money (ie. FREE!) - The buyer pays 1% (up to EUR 0.50) to send money, International payments.
Cons: There is a charge of EUR 1.80 to withdraw to your bank account. EUR 2.50 to withdraw to a Visa card and EUR 3.50 for them to send you a cheque. Also, only bad if you're the buyer - but there is a 3% charge to upload money by Visa but it is free to upload money from a bank account (via bank transfer - it's a Lloyds TSB account).
These are the only other credit card processors I've used besides PayPal. NoChex is my favourite due to the zero risk of chargebacks and the lower fees. Because of this I tend to push it hardest in my auctions (although I do prefer bank transfers/cheques/postal orders) and therefore get a reasonable ratio of takers. It is ofcourse, useless for international sale.
MoneyBookers is good as it splits the fees between the buyer and the seller, and if you allow a lot of payments to accrue before withdrawing then the percentage charge to you is ever decreasing. This is probably the best all-rounder, although I have only recently started using them so I'm unsure of their policy on chargebacks.
There's also BidPay, EggPay, FastPay, and numerous others to consider but I have no experience of these. The main thing to remember is that PayPal Sucks!

Beachneth, if you only use paypal as a buyer you are not alone a lot of us won't bid unless we can pay by paypal. That means that buyers looking at auctions in your category won't bid on yours either unless you take paypal.
As for your payment, that seems an awfully long time to wait. Mine are coming through in about 4 or 5 working days now and I've had two from after Easter already. I'd give paypal a ring and see what the hold up is as that is far too long even by paypal standards.

Soo
I have rang them and emailed them as well as contacting the bank. Paypal just tell me to wait a bit longer before they'll do anything. It is now day 13 and it still isn't in my account. Im getting really angry about it now!0
