Jersey - travel ins for 16 year old?

My 16 year old daughter is travelling to Jersey in a few weeks for a four-night stay. We already have free european travel insurance through our Nationwide current account (extended to include the children) but she would only be covered if travelling with us. She is going with my parents (who also have the Nationwide cover but they won't allow my daughter to be covered on their policy).
Could someone recommend an insurer for this short trip?

Also, I know the Channel Islands are not always classed as the UK in certain circumstances - if she takes her EHIC with her, would this entitle her to free medical care if needed?

Sorry, I don't know about the first part of your question.

Sadly Jersey no longer participates in the EHIC programme for UK citizens (and presumably for other Europeans).
