TV STand - 1 Year Warranty

I have had a TV stand since the end of November 2011. I know this is more than the 1 year quoted but it has just collapsed.
Do I have any means of retailation?
Or do I just give up?

How expensive was it and what is it made of - is it repairable or completely knackered ?0

I guess it is repairable but it just annoys me that it is so close to the 1 year mark.
They should last forever!0 -
Was it self assembly?0

You could always ask the store, but be prepared for them to say no. You'd then have to prove the fault was inherent by means of an independent report before they would have an obligation to remedy it.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

What stand was it, and what exactly was on it (TV model/any other equipment)? Did you have the right sized stand for the TV and were you overloading with weight?
If you're confident you were using the stand within the guide lines, it's worth approaching the retailer for a remedy. Who was the retailer, out of interest?0
