My screen is currently a sea of red crosses with the occasional green tick. I don't think I'm being to fussy but after I've removed
like & shares
ones using things like instagram
ones in London, Birmingham & Manchester etc
weekends away at the other end of the country
anything to do with football
there doesn't seem to be anything left
anyone else finding this

Me too hamsterfan
I don't do Twitter or FB like & shares or rafflecopters and many as you say are location specific.
It may just be a January lull
At least it gives a chance to really catch up0 -
Same here for me too not a facebook or twitter follower, Rafflecopter? Struggling to do as many comps as I would like too,0
-
Yes, me too.
I struggle with Rafflecopter entries, and lots of the Twitter ones I'm not interested in.0 -
I only enter for what me and mine can use. I don't do Twitter or follow blogs. Don't enter for kids things or DVD's etc.
I think comping goes through stages where there is numerous comps that we want to enter or phases, like today, that I can't find much that I would like to win.
Just keep at it.0 -
Same here, lots of red crosses for me. I don't enter weekends/hotels in the South, DVDs, books, kids/babies, pets, wedding, fishing, football and other sports (except F1), sweets/crisps, holidays to dirty or unsafe Countries. I avoid many Facebook and Twitter comps, also rafflecopter and blogs. So as I am a fussy comper, after I have weeded all this out it leaves very few green ticks! The best things in life are free.....0

It does seem weird comping in January. I often find myself with extra time in a day but with no competitions I want to enter. Very different from Nov/Dec when I struggled a bit to keep up.
If I wasn't making an effort with Daily Mag and Blog entries I'd be at a very loose end
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
Yes I am in the same boat at the mo, I've found since Christmas there seem to be fewer and fewer actual comps with forms to fill in, and more Twitter (I'm not on there) and FB (I'll do sweepstakes but not Like and Shares) entries. Hopefully things will change again soon!!0

I've found there are less pages of comps to enter too. However, still LOADS to wade through for end of January!MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

If Facebook would get their ar**s kicked into gear and STOPPED companies from running Like and Share comps, there would be far more App comps on the board! Think loads of us are trying to stay clear of the like and shares!
Just bugs me that Facebook are going around and closing innocent compers accounts down for liking and sharing when it is the company pages they should be handing out warnings and bans to!
Sorry had to vent - hate Facebook at the mo!
Back to the subject of the conversation though - I too am not entering as much lately - I never enter the holidays ones because I have kids and they rarely tie in with the school hols, I never enter to win tickets as the cost of travelling to get to these places would cost a fortune, I don't enter to win DVDs unless they are something I really want to watch, never read so don't enter to win books, much of the fashions and jewellery on Facebook is really not to my liking so don't enter those - not to many left over for me at the mo! I'm picky now - maybe too picky!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Yes I also think I am perhaps a bit too picky. Like you BlueBella, I don't enter holiday comps (I have 3 kids and they're always either for couples or a family of 4), nor ones for days out or weekends away that are more than an hour or so away from me, nor for DVDs I don't have an interest in, nor for most food related things (apart from hampers and chocolate!!!). So that pretty much leaves me with the most popular comps, ie. vouchers, cash, gadgets etc - which of course have thousands and thousands of entrants, giving me only the slimmest of chances of a win!!0
