Missing Contact Details Twice In 2 Days

Is it just me or are ebay having trouble making people have contact information on their listings.

Bought something yeaterday went to pay, no contact details at all except a postcode!!! cant send a cheque to them with just that so report them to ebay.

Just bought a bag today which is cheque/postal order only, went to checkout to get the details no info what so ever!!!! so again had to report it to ebay.

these people arent new sellers thay have got great positive feedback buying and selling, but they cant even put there address on there

i also purchased something over the weekend, cheque only, no address details for seller on file

i think it must be a problem with ebay then.

its just so annoying, you want to get the cheque ready to send and you cant until they reply.

My address details do not show up in the contact section. I send every buyer an invoice as soon as they have bought my item asking them to e-mail me for address details. Why is this such a problem? People who pay by cheque rarely send payment immediately anyway!!

It is a problem and a pain, I have 4 cheques to send and I also get vast amounts of email...I don't want to hunt through it to find emails with contact details...I usually click the box for to buy things only with paypal and sometimes I forget......So yes the sellers are waiting now but not intentionally

Okay, fair point but I cannot work out how to get my contact details into the system. I do have Paypal too but find that people who pay by cheque tend to wait 2 days before sending it second class so it is often a week before I receive it!

any buyer who wants to pay as fast as possible can get a paypal account, which is free to the buyer. what's the problem, i don't know why people don't.

i am the same as bluebell13, i dont know how to get the details on there and dont really see the need: as 95% of payments are paypal so that's a lot less people that need to see my details.

yes i have a paypal account, and would have paid via paypal if the sellers accepted it!!!

If i win an auction and the seller doesnt accept paypal, i like to write the cheque out straight away and get it posted asap. I always send my cheques via first class post so they take no more than 2 days to get there. So in my case's i need to see there contact details asap.

in the case of yesterdays one, i emailed the seller, got no response, waited and waited and only finally got there details tonight. so thats 2 days wasted as the auction finished yesterday morning. So 2 more days waiting for the item

I wonder if it's a ploy by ebay to make it as difficult as possible, so people are forced to open a paypal account....it wouldn't suprise me

I haven't had this particluar problem, but I had a disappearing listing this evening. I checked eBay shortly after it would have ended, andthe item was not in my Sold or Unlsold items, nor was it still on my Selling list. I've looked back several times but it's still AWOL. It's been missing for hours now. I don't know if that's connected with vanishing addresses.
