missing files on psp

hi
i have had a problem trying to delete a CSO file on my pro duo card on my psp.
it kept coming back when i refreshed after deleting it and would not go into the recycle bin.
so tried to delete it via a built in memory card reader on my laptop but now, i cannot find any of my ISO files on the memory card even though they still load up when i want to play them.including the stubborn one which wont go.
any help please.

cheers

It sounds like you need to run a scan disk on the memory card, do it on the drive on you get on the PC.

you could format the card and put everything else back on it. I have had to do that a few times.

You might have better luck trying a PSP forum where I am sure you will get an answer. It could be the homebrew that is corrupting the card or perhaps the deletion of the cso file which is a compressed iso.

They may be hidden when looking on your PC.

Go into (with card reader on your PC):

    Tools
    Folder Options
    View
    Hidden Files and Folder
    Show Hidden Files and Folder

See if you can see the files you don;t want. Other than that a piece of software called PSPWARE may help, as it has some explorer-related functions.

P.S when you show all files, make sure you don't remove all the files, as the DUO stick may have some hidden system files it needs to index/catalogue ..etc. Above should let you see ALL files so you can find your ISO's.

Or your memory card came from one of the the knock sellers on eBay.

now how many replies will we get from people using an ebay card without problems?

I wouldnt go to the barbers to get my eyes tested, although sometimes I should get my eyes tested after I go:eek:

I bought one of those cards you mentioned.........trouble free up to now.Nothing to suggest its the card at present, in fact the op hasnt given a reply up to now.....

Unless you are discussing the work of Dark Alex and co there is enough knowledge of using a PSP the way the OP is useing it on here. anyway the problem doesnt seem to be a PSP problem, it is a data problem deleteing files stored on a memory card.

Flash cards are unreliable sometimes, introduce the possibility of the card being produced in some backstreet electronics factory in china and you can introduce even more problems. they can be fine untill you hit that one bad block and wave goodbye to the data.

    ok
ive done that and found my ISO's but the folder they are in is sort of fainter than the others...is there a reason for this?

  • its ok!!!!
    ive done it
i found the ISO's like beerbelly told me and the fainter folders had some attributes ticked in the folder options for some reason.
also the stubborn file deleted 1st time!!!
i havent a clue why it wouldnt delete before but this time i deleted it it was showing over 300mb where as this morning it was 0mb...strange.

also , going back to startrekker post , does anyone recomend a site i could join with questions about my psp and my ISO's , downloads etc...
    thanks for all your help
