Has anybody managed to get WPA security to work on the Dlink DSL-G604T.
I am the DSL-G604T wireless router, DWL-G650+ laptop card and several DWL-G520 pc cards.
WEP security works fine but I cannot get WPA to connect.
Any ideas ?

"• How do I configure WPA-PSK on my wireless card using the Microsoft XP Utility?
This FAQ is currently for the DWL-G630, DWL-G650, DWL-AG520, and DWL-AG530 with the latest drivers.
Note: Make sure to have all of the latest Windows Updates.
Step 1 Click on the XP Networking icon to use the Zero Configuration utility. This will be located in the lower-right corner (system tray). In the lower-left of the window, click on the Advanced button.
Step 2 Ensure that Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings is checked. Highlight the network you wish to connect to and click on the Configure button.
Step 3 From the Network Authentication drop-down, select WPA-PSK. Under Data Encryption, select TKIP or AES. Enter your Network key and enter it again next to Confirm network key.
Step 4 Click OK to save your settings. You will now see your wireless network under the Preferred Networks box. You should now be connected to your wireless network using WPA-PSK encryption.
The key is an alpha-numeric password between 8 and 63 characters long. The password can include symbols (!?*&_) and spaces. Make sure you enter this key exactly the same on all other wireless clients." Source -

Assuming you are running XP and have setup the router to use WPA-PSK, can you confirm that you have carried out the above, but none of the network cards can connect to the router using WPA-PSK?0 -
Thanks for the reply, I currently use the Dlink Airplus utility to configure my wireless network, that could be the problem.0

Look like the DWL-520 pci cards do not support WPA.
I get a message advising me of that when I attempt to set up the network using Windows XP to configure it instead of the DLink utility.
**Confirmed by checking the DLink website - time for some new pci cards **0 -
Apologies if you have already checked this, but the latest revision of the 520 (the 520e) does seem to support WPA - see
http://support.dlink.com/products/revision.asp?productId=DWL-520 for identifying marks for each of the revised models.
If you do have the 'e' version, the link below shows how to setup WPA -
http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=1509&question=DWL-120f / DWL-520E / DWL-650P
Note that these are links to the DLink USA site, which is very different to their UK site. It is possible that the 520e was never released here.0 -
Thanks again, the 520's I have are more than likely the older ones. I have had them for about 3 years now.
I currently use 256 bit WEP encryption and thought that I would give WPA a go.
I will take a look at replacing the whole setup, router, 4 pci cards and 2 pcmcia cards. - nice new 108mbps kit maybe.0
