Does anyone know if BBMs can be read by anyone other than the person holding the handset?

RIM = Blackberry manufacturer
Probably depends of set up in use at employer - i.e if company has own BB server or not ?
There were case of some countries banning them since govt couldn't spy on the messages, solution was to have a local server in country
But in our yes our employer can read our BBMs - if they want to0 -
I'm sure its the case that employers can also record phone calls too.
