password difficulties with tesco clubcard any suggestions?

hello all,

like most i have lots of passwords and account numbers to various sites online. I recently forgot my password for my online tesco clubcard account. The site allows me to reset a new password. you enter ytour email address, you then receive a email with a link. you click on the link and enter your post code and a new password.

Each time I try to set a new passowrd, I get a message saying "the link is not outdated and you need to resent a new pass word, please enter your email address" and so the cycle begins.

I have telephoned the tesco club card. On one occassion I was told the link was down, on another occassion I was told to telephone tesco customer service. On another occassion i was told to reset my cookies which i did. In a nut shell the clubcard helpline have been useless, does anyone have any suggestion???

    Hi there.. Have you tried resetting the password from another computer ?
    I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.
  • keep persisting with teh tesco customer service, its something which sounds like they have to do. get bossy and ask to speak to supervisor if need be

    I spoke to tesco tec today, they assured me there password link is ok, although they did tell me they had telephone calls last week of people experiencing the same problems.

    Tec have suggested the following:

    1) delete all emails from previous password requests

    2) instead of left clicking, i should "hover" and right click once over the reset link
    3) change the brower i am using
    4) delate all my temp files

    this all sems alot of hassle just to view the clubcard

    the thing is i use to view the clubcard account with no problem until i had to reset the new password. I did ask tec to reset my password there, but they said i have to do that myself. i also request they unregister my clubcard so i can register it myself, again they cant do.
    Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!
