Finding a job

Hello,
I'm currently unemployed, I left my last job in October 2012 after being with the company for 6 years. Long story short i started in a call center but by the end of it the rest of my team was gone and i was in a warehouse unpacking boxes. I left because it wasn't what i wanted to do and i could support myself through saving and reducing outgoings.
I'm now starting to look for work again but they has never been any kind of job i have wanted. They are jobs i would hate and jobs that i would really hate and everything falls into this two categorizes. I have applied for varies roles as i know i need something but so far i haven't had much look. I don't have a degree or any qualification higher than gcse and i don't have the funds to support going back into education.
I just have no idea how am suppose to sell myself to potential employers that i would be the best for job when in all honesty i wouldn't be the best, as i know they are far more capable people than myself looking jobs.

What would you like to do or what have you done in the past that you enjoyed ?0

I think we all have that period of having no idea what to do job wise.
I think you need to list all your previous jobs you have down and list all your skills, then look again for jobs trying to match what you have done, and enjoyed, and what skills you have.
Don't rely on just jobsites also look directly on company sites, any companies you would like to work for?Bad luck breeds bad luck.
Damn I'm doomed.0 -

In the last 6 years i worked in the same company doing different roles, I started out in the call center answering customer calls but i hated being shouted at, then on top of doing that i was put on the tech help line to help fix coin sorting machine the kind you get in supermarkets. Then ordering parts got added on to the job, little by little the team i was on all left and when they did they merged me with warehouse so then i was spending have my day opening and upacking boxes and the other half order things over the phone with outside customers. I hated every minute of my 6 years and i only left because i ripped a few muscles in my back and couldn't stand to go back. (i did and worked my notices)0 -

It sounds like the old self esteem has taken a knock but I do know where your coming from.
I've never had a job I enjoyed either but that doesn't mean there aren't jobs out there I wouldn't enjoy.
We all have a purpose or a talent, its up to you to discover that talent, there must be something you are good at or enjoy?0 -
They isn't a job i would like to do and I've never had a job i enjoyed. The things i do enjoy doing like watching movies, listing to music.
When people use the term "enjoy" in referring to their work, they really don't mean it in the same way that people enjoy leisure time activities. If you expect to get the same degree of pleasure from your job as you do from listening to music you'll almost certainly going to be disappointed.0 -
I think the 'enjoyment' you seek will come from the people you work with and not the job itself.0
