PPI with Barclaycard and on a Barclays loan - advice needed

My wife and I keep our finances separate and I have never had PPI. My wife however has just received a cheque for a claim on a Tesco loan. She is now considering making a claim with Barclays:

Scenario:

Barclays loan had PPI on it and she used the Insurance as she was off work for a year due to injury, she has repaid the loan.

Barclaycard, whilst she was off work she had a zero balance and it never occurred to her that she had PPI on the credit card until her last statement and it shows that she does have PPI on the card whenever there is a balance on the card.

She is considering making a PPI claim against Barclaycard and Barclays, they have told them that they can do this as one complaint i.e. fill in one form and send it back.

I have a feeling the amount paid out on the PPI insurance is more than the premiums paid for the insurance (no paperwork kept so I can't check).

If she asks Barclays to investigate both the credit card and the loan will she be disadvantaged by the fact she has received a benefit from the PPI on the loan and offset that against any moneys due on the Barclaycard claim?

Should she just ask them to look at the credit card first and once settlement received then claim on the loan?

To add a little more confusion, she had payments from the PPI insurance on the Tesco loan whilst she was off work but still got a £3k settlement from Tescos as compensation for misselling.

Thanks in advance.

If the complaint is upheld on the loan and the PPI redress is less than what she received for her claim, she won't get anything.

    The credit card is separate.
