Furious at N Power
I switched to N Power last March but looking at my emails the contract may have started at the beginning of June. I have been paying £75 a month gas/ electricity and received a letter off them Saturday to say they are upping my payment to £135!
I have compared my current meter readings with the estimated ones on the bill and they are near enough correct. I have an o/s balance of £70 - so I have been paying £5 a month too little.
I rang them up to see when I culd change and how they could justify the increase on Saturday only to be told that "their systems are down and they cannot discuss my account". I was told they would be back up at 8am this morning so tried again only to be told the same excuse.
I am furious - we purposely try and keep our useage as low as possible (although could and are trying to do more) but they just increase the bill by nearly double and then won't discuss it with me.
Absolutely fuming :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hi Missimaxo,
You aren't alone, especially if you have done a search for npower as I did. Your beef with npower is why I used their own internal system to register my complaint in Feb 12, however there may be light at the end of the tunnel, see this thread below, trouble is, like my fantastic garage mechanic who I have used and coveted for 15 years now, you relunctantly give his name out to others as he is so good you wonder whether he might not have time for you after your own word of mouth recommendations

They did the same to me, despite £70 credit & they over estimating gas usage by 200 units!!!. They tried to double it from £60 pm to £120!!, in the end had to settle for £71 pm "as their prices had gone up".
Am leaving them soon, so just went with it, where is the rep when you need them?!No one said it was gonna be easy!0
