I won an item which is the most I have ever bought on ebay (over £340) a week a go and it still hasn't been posted. I have emailed the seller twice asking when it will be posted and they have replied saying they are at work and didn't expect it to end so quikly (but it had buy it now). They said they would try and post it on Monday\Tuesday & I still havn't heard from them. I also noticed they have been buying accessories that COULD go with the item I have bought. Don't want to keep bothering them with emails but getting slightly worried. How long so I wait for delivery on item I paid as soon I "bought it now" ?
Cheers

I suggest you contact the seller and give him a deadline to post it by and forward the tracking number onto you so you can check online. If it hasn't been posted out by that date then start the chargeback process through paypal. If you feel you've been waiting long enough already you could just start the process now anyway

cheers, think will give them till the end of the week to email the tracking number. Think 10 days to actually post the item is more than enough time !!

Just really wanted to know how long does everyone think it is acceptable to wait for them to actually post the item after its been paid for ?Payneardo

I think if paying by paypal a week is just about as long as I would wait for the item before I start chasing it up. I would certainly consider putting in my chargeback after 2- 2 1/2 weeks if I hadn't had any contact from a seller either.
I expect to wait longer if paying by cheque, two weeks is not unreasonable. I recently waited over three weeks (I mentioned it on an earlier thread) and decided in the end and after having no response whatsoever, to phone the seller. I have never heard anyone so surpised in my life when I said that I had got his telephone number from ebay and was phoning to ask about my item, It arrived this morning!
It's always worth a phone call, certainly seems to be enough to get stuff posted in most cases.

If it's £340 I'd already be thinking of trying to get my money back.
My personal opinion is that it is far too risky to buy high value items off eBay.0
