Laptop unable to pick up wireless network

Options
Hi

I am hoping someone can help. My laptop is unable to find my wireless connection (or any wireless connection), all other laptop's in the house are connecting properly. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It was working fine untill we took the laptop to Egypt with us.

Thanks in advance :o

Does your laptop have a slide switch on the front/side which has a wireless logo next to it?

My Dell has one on the front which gets knocked sometimes and this switches the wireless off.

Otherwise post your laptop model/type and hopefully you can be assisted

Hi. I too have a Satellite (L350) and whenever I reinstall or put Linux on, then go back to Win Vista, I lose the connection, though I can see my Virgin network. I had to download the Atheros drivers from Toshiba site and install it then it connected. Another possibility, as you can't see your network, is to ensure your wireless hub has the Wi-Fi turned on in the hub settings. Here's a link for the driver site at Toshiba.
