Acer 7735z Laptop internet issues

Hi, I am having problems problems with my acer 7735z laptop at the moment. I recently restored the laptop to factory settings and now i cant access the internet,It is saying i am connceted to the internet and full signal but when try and open up the internet it seems to take about 5 mins to open up.
I also cant open up another web page and when i try an close the internet i wont close everything else is working fine on the laptop apart from this does anyone know anything i can do to fix this?

Which browser ? Try another browser first.If IE 9 - tools internet options - advanced - reset, then remove all add-ons and re-install them

i done a update for internet last night for latest software but it still remained the same think it was IE-7 that was installed on it when first got it,

Hi, I have done this but nothing has changed its still not working, what do you mean by remove all add=ons? not the best with laptops to be honest

Hi thanks for your help, Have just noticed there is google desktop now on laptop so clicked it and connected to the internet no problem at all, Is there anyway this can be changed back so i can access the internet through the internet explorer tab in the start menu?

Which version of Windows is on the laptop?
You can't access the internet at all, or you can access it but it's slow?

If it's slow, my guess is it's trying to download several gazillion Microsoft updates, to bring the operating system etc back up to date.

Its windows vista that is on the laptop.

When accessing it through internet tab in start menu it takes about 5 mins to come up and then the home page takes ages to load up.

I did notice that google desktop had been instaled and when search on it,it brings up internet page within seconds but then stops working again.

Also noticed on internet page when opened after it says waiting for http...... etc etc it then comes up with done with errors on page?
