timeshare problems please help me.

Hi, can anyone advise me please?
I bought a weeks timeshare in 2001 for £7995 jointly with my then partner. I took a finance agreement to pay the fee which i paid off in full. My partner and i split and not seen since. I fell behind on the maintenance fees and didnt pay any after 2003. Do i have any rights on reclaiming my timeshare? I studied the contract which states i should have received a 60 day notification of breach of contract (failure to pay maintenance fees) and then notification of sale of timeshare, and then an account of sale. None of which i got. Also had a ccj against ex but never got a penny from that.
any advice gratefully accepted.

Sorry to hear your tale of woe. Am I right in assuming you have paid no maintenance for 10 years? Did you ever hear from the timeshare company, I presume that you did as you seem to think you have lost it? There are all sorts of problems taking legal action in these cases, in 99% of timeshare the company is off shore, usually somewhere like Gibraltar which has a different legal system but all countries have limitation periods to take legal action, in England it is 6 years and if you have done nothing for 10, I suspect that any rights that you might have had, have been lost0

Sorry to hear that!! I'm not sure if you have any rights on reclaiming your timeshare, have you tried to contact an attorney?? maybe you should read this article:
