Overdraft fees &

Hi all

I was writing to enquire about somebank charges.

I have had a classic account with Lloyds for about 17 years, and in the last few years I had quite an overdraft on the account (£1300) . On 31 December 2012 I logged into my account to transfer money into this account to cover the overdraft as normal, only to see that my overdraft limit said £0.00!! I phoned the bank straight away and they told me that they had sent me a letter stating that after reviewing my o/draft they were cancelling it. Brownies promise, I never received this letter. I had absolutely no idea they had done this. Anyway after about 2 weeks of correspondence and all the rest of it, I managed to get the money and paid off the overdraft in full. I have since been advised that I have pending charges, (when I called them about something else- they never informed me) such as daily fees for being overdrawn and a returned direct debit. I understand these charges, but what I don't agree with is that I should have to pay them, I mean, I hadn't even been advised my o/draft had been cancelled! I find them completely unfair.

Their o/draft policy is a complete money making scam, (they originally had advised me that I could set up an arrangement to pay off the o/draft £40 per month, with only £14 being paid to the actual o/draft hence I decided to pay the lot off with savings a family member kindly gave me, and i'm paying them off instead)

I'm so angry with Lloyds.I just wondered if there was like a template letter as i've told them I would like to write to them to appeal against these fees.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance
