Late Delivery

Hi,

I've read the guide but couldn't see the answer to my situation.

I ordered an item online and paid for next day delivery. The items didn't turn up the following day so I emailed the seller asking for refund of the delivery cost.

They have replied quoting their terms and conditions-

[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]*** THESE DELIVERY TIMES ARE NOT GUARANTEED ***

I have argued that whilst they might not be guaranteed they should refund the costs, as I paid for a service I ultimately didn't receive.

They refuse to budge.

The failure to meet the delivery time was down to human error and not prevailing weather / road conditions.

Please advise.

Thanks,

SC

They should really refund the difference between their standard delivery costs and express delivery costs. Getting them to (as you've seen) is a different matter, so depends how much effort you wish to put in it and how much we're talking about here..

Dispatched on time, no problems with the roads or weather but ended up 120 miles away despite the correct address etc.

Somebody sorting the items stuck them in the wrong cage.

£12 delivery costs so probably not worth the aggro. When it's happened in the past (with a different company), the delivery charges were dropped without me having to ask.

Different companies, different levels of customer service.

    Thanks
