I went to YouTube last night , the first time for months, and found I was unable to access it as I used to. It seemed to want me to sign up to a google account which I do not really want. My questions are can I use youtube without a google account and if so how? I sing in a choir and only used youtube when we had a piece of music I was unfamiliar with and wanted to hear clips of other choirs singing it. All help appreciated.

Other than ads for google chrome, I have never been asked to sign up for anything else when logging in to youtube. I just ignore the ads and everything else that is thrown at me (suggested videos, channels etc) and get on with what I am looking for.0

lot of people don't want a Google account but Google are buying the world and want you to have one
great thing is
its still totally free
and you don't need to give any personal info at all

so why the resistance?
my problem is I have about 826815 gmail accounts and it would be nice to consolidate 5 gmail addresses into one Google account or ability to shift You Tube, photos, files, play account, etc into one Google accountWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
If you just want to watch videos, you don't have to sign in to anything. Just watch the videos as normal.
But any additional functionality requires that you sign in.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
