Argos Refund but card paid with no longer have?

We bought a Gift just before Christmas from Argos for about £300 and paid by Debit card but that card was lost so had to order a new one.

but the new card has a new Number but as far as i know Argos will only refund back to the card that was used to pay for the item.

so will they refund cash or will they refund onto new card with new number?

there rules seem to change from store to store.

They may refund it to a 'store' card (gift voucher)

Take an odd penny with you so that they can round it up :)
