We bought a Gift just before Christmas from Argos for about £300 and paid by Debit card but that card was lost so had to order a new one.
but the new card has a new Number but as far as i know Argos will only refund back to the card that was used to pay for the item.
so will they refund cash or will they refund onto new card with new number?
there rules seem to change from store to store.

just go to the store and find out
i believe debit cards are linked to a bank account regardless of number so it may not matter0 -
They may refund it to a 'store' card (gift voucher)
Take an odd penny with you so that they can round it up0 -
Refund doos not require authorisation, so it will go back onto the old card and the bank will then transfer it over to the new card.
Trust me I used to do this.....
Quite fun, in a boring sort of way seeing how little people spend on cards.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
