I have an 20gb MP3 player bought from LIdl last Oct. Seems to be a good player, uses Jukebox and Audiophile programmes. Want to know why i can't download from both Laptop and PC. Seems to be one or the other. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Can you only use one computer to download songs to the player? Would appreciate it if someone could tell me.
Thanks
Thanks

Mr Skint the model I have is here
https://www.anubisline.com/english/eindex.htm If you could have a look, What I want to do is use the pc and the laptop(not at the same time) to put music files onto the player.I have win98se on the pc and xp on the laptop.0 -
When you connect via usb you should see the player shown as an extra drive in My Computer. If you can see that I believe, from a quick glance at your link, that you should be able to drag & drop files onto the player icon (the extra drive icon showing in My Computer).0

Thanks for the info, have been installing and re-installing. system not recognising player have been trying all sorts. Think it might be something to do with "mass storage driver?" player not showing up in device manager. So have given up tonight! If you have any ideas I would welcome them thanks again for your time0

This may help youQ. Why does this message "Cannot find JukeBox. ...." appears when I launch the Audiophile application?
A. Before the Audiophile activates, it will look for the MyDj. If the MyDj is not connected to the USB port, the Audiophile will display this message. Simply, power on the MyDj and hook up to your system USB port.
If this is done and the message still appears, it means that the system cannot recognize the USB installation of the MyDj. It could be the installation of the MyDj on your system is not done correctly or it is corrupted.
Go to the MyDj product page and download the driver to install again but first remember to uninstall the previous MyDj drivers and remove from the Hard Disk. Then reboot and reinstall again.
• Ensure that your Windows are fully updated in Microsoft web site first as the MyDj uses the Microsoft USB Mass Storage driver.
• For Correct installation, MyDj will appear correctly in Control Panel - System - Device Manager list under "Disk Drives" as "Toshiba MK2004GAL USB Device".
• For Windows 98 SE users, ensure the above properties are set to "Removal". Then reboot and insert again. Alternatively, it can be access from "My Computer" - select "Properties" - select "Device Manager" tab.
• All USB 2.0 USB Mass Storage Device must indicate version 5.1.2600.0 or above.
taken from here.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0 -
Thanks Mattjimf, but I read the same info on the web site, and I did all i was told. Still doesnt recognise player ( no hard drive apppearing) that is why I think it is something to do with "mass storage driver" Didn't quite understand this though "For Windows 98 SE users, ensure the above properties are set to "Removal". Then reboot and insert again" thanks CONFUSED
Where can I download or find the USB mass storage device driver. as it seems the drivers for this mp3 player are not loading.0 -

I take it that the player will show up in your laptop (XP) but not the desktop (98SE)? The installation disc that comes with players normally includes drivers for usb (XP and Windows2K don't need them, the player should automatically appear in My Computer when plugged into usb) plus some database tool for managing the files. It seems to be a driver problem you have. I'd check what version of usb you have, possibly version1, and make sure that the appropriate drivers are downloaded from the player site. It may be attempting to install usb 2 drivers. USB is backward compatible in that the device will operate in version1 (although more slowly than in version 2), but the drivers aren't and the correct ones need to be installed. If you check out 'device manager/usb controllers' (then right click and opt for 'properties'....I think) and it doesn't say 'enhanced' then the usb will be version 1.0
