Hi
Can any of the experienced people on here please give me some tips re: what I should be aware of before I begin my DG quote journey?
I have a 1950s detached house with 10 windows and 3 pairs of French doors - currently all wooden.
I'm considering replacing the doors/windows as I'm soon to weatherboard the place and thought it might be a possible additional job that I could get done at the same time, cash flow permitting.
FYI, the doors and windows are in okay condition but are single glazed and even with a new boiler fitted just before the winter, with so much glass, it's still blinkin' cold!
Thanks, in advance.

If your planning on staying for a good few years and budgets allow replace windows rather than fit secondary DG.Get 3 quotes from local companies, research them as much as possible and get personal recommendation if possible.
Good idea to replace the windows at the same time as the weatherboarding as its easier to fit the windows and then trim round with weatherbaord stops. If you need scaffolding to replace the weatherboarding it will be easier to fit the windows at the same time.
Standard shop bought windows tend to be cheaper but aesthetically look poor IMO.Bespoke made windows in general will be more expensive but look far nicer.0
