When searching for cheap flights many of us use Skyscanner,the links from there usually direct you to the cheapest price of a flight. What I suggest you then do is a Google search for reviews of the agent,whilst i'm not suggesting that anyone is doing illegal just for example look for reviews of budgetair or netflights and…

Tried skyscanner for a flight to the US and it was cheaper through BA website codesharing with AA. I was also wary of the resellers.

I'm having the same with Trivago. Plenty of what appear to be deals, until you research the company you are booking with. Many are not UK based. It doesn't help either when the cheapest prices are special offers for over 55s etc, but no mention of this until you click the cheapest link.
