make up ur address eg
mse@mailinator.com
go to mailinator.com type in MSE and collect your emails!0 -
I've used one in the past called DodgeIt (Link [dodgeit.com]) for things I don't want to receive spam from. You don't even have to register an address prior to using the service.
Simply specify anything before @dodgeit.com, and they create the address on the spot. It is completely public and you can't send from it.
And no I don't work for them! :rotfl:If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.0 -
this would actually mean more spam not by the genuine user but by a spammer who could in effect be less traceable, could also be use by people who want to be vindictive to other people especially when email addresses are never checked for authentication as anyone can make up a fictitious address just to get a new email address then bombard people with rubbish and then no trace of activities.
sorry but a big thumbs down from me
Hi dps,
You bring up a good point, which we thought about before putting this tip up. It's a problem that comes up time and again with MoneySaving ideas; used legitimately they can help a lot of people, but they are liable to be abused.
Like some of the other posters have said, hopefully other email providers will have measures in place to prevent mass spamming - one good note is that you couldn't spam directly from guerillamail, as you can only reply to emails sent to you.

I got one that I opened in 2001 and forgot the password too. scar11@hotmail.com
you can also just make one up. theres a hundred for every person in the worldSave saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -
While it is certainly helpful to know of their existence, as guerrilla email accounts are actually used to send most spam, I would hardly call them 'great'.0

That's weird. The link turned into exclamation marks. Replace the "*" with a hyphen.0 -
If you already have a Yahoo email address, don't forget that a service like the above described is already built in:

As far as I know the ones I quoted above (spamgourmet, pookmail, spamhole & 10minutemail) can only be used to receive mail. :T0 -
Often, rather than a case of enter a disposable email address on an online form, companies publish an email address for enquiries. The privacy policy states that if you send an email, they will record your name and email address and use them for marketing purposes.
Does anyone know of reliable websites where you can send a one-off email, to avoid having to use your real email account? Different websites may be appropriate depending on the nature of the enquiry. If you just want them to send you something in the post, then receiving replies isn’t necessary. When you have a question, you need a service that allows you to read replies for a day or so. (Obviously this is for questions that aren’t of a confidential nature; otherwise you should use a secure email account.)
Spam is a problem, in that companies may block incoming mail from that server, thus your email is never read. It’s possible to have safeguards against such abuse, e.g. making the sender decipher a code.
Are there any suitable websites for emailing companies?0
