WAE+ - Had to get Radio Station involved! HELP!

Hi...
has anyone had any problems with WAE+ online store. I ordered something, then cancelled when they told me it would take extra time to be delivered. they sent the wrong item, after I had cancelled.I returned the item at my own expense (£10 special delivery) and they still would not refund.
I had to phone 3 Counties radio who said they would sort it out. The emailed to say I now have my refund (I havent!) and they wont give me the postage refund (although I have written separately with receipt) as the did not agree to refund postage (even though it says they would if item sent it error on their website). they also had the cheek to say they just picked any item to send me as i didnt specify what item i wanted (how did I order it then?)
So im still out pocket. Ive tried citizens advice in birmingham to get them to help but they send me a copied pdf on my rights... soooo cross, they can just get away with whatever methods they want.
Its actually put me off internet shopping now for good - sticking with the high street from now on which is a shame. Tried lloyds bank but brought on debit card and they wont refund postage I dont think? run out of ideas ..thanks all...

When you're buying online, it's always worth doing a google search to see the problems customers may have had with a retailer. I suspect this would have prevented you buying from WAE+ in the first place, they don't have a good reputation, and have had several threads on here.0

hi, I have written on here - (and their facebook page) - I had a nightmare with this company after ordering without checking them out - the same as hundreds of others - you pay, they say item lost / out of stock / damaged in post etc - you try to cancel, they say no, then it arrives (in my case it was clearly damaged as box open on delivery), I refused delivery and had to threaten Section 75 chargeback before they would refund- I have seen on threads that they have been telling people to chargeback as they can no longer refund - which does not seem good - it seems birmingham trading standards know all about them, and if you search on here one of the nationals is even mentioned (cannot remember which one), as quoting they had the most complaints about them
Hope you get your money back, remember not all companies are this bad - but pls search WAE+ on this forum as you will get the latest news on others in your situation0 -
I'm very sorry to hear you are another one of their victims. They are an awful company and do this to hundreds of people, maybe more!
You do have to pay for return postage, but I am not sure about you paying postage for a wrong item sent? This does not seem right to me.
If something is their mistake, they should rectify it and the cost should be on them.
Have you spoken to consumer direct? I reported them to trading standards and spoke to consumer direct about my rights.
I sent a letter via recorded delivery to cancel my order and get a refund by a certian date. I also have informed my credit card company and have filed a dispute. They will force payment if WAE+ do not refund on the date I have set.
Please make sure you put this complaint in writing to Watchdog, we need to complain in mass, or they won't get the media attention they deserve.
WAE+ let people down when items they advertise, which are not in stock, of course never get delivered. This is what they do. They then keep your money and make you fight for it. Lame excuses like they have a problem with their system which allows refunds. Well, they really need the reverse problem, their system not being able to take payments! Then when they don't deliver, you get to shop elsewhere.
Not all companies are like this, don't allow them to ruin your trust completely. Just be wary next time and read reviews. I will have to do the same. We all buy in good faith, but the WAE+ are far from good people.
You can be lucky and get your item through this company, but they are getting things wrong and not changing their ways. This is what is really awful about them. Their reviews go back a long way, same problems, different excuses. Bottom line is they sell out of stock goods and they do not refund. Their customer services are useless and only there to give excuses and fob you off.
They have gone through review sites and delivery companies, one day it will all catch up on them. I beleive in Karma, what goes around, comes back around.0
