Car Insurance

Hi Everyone

I've just been and ordered a new car for March delivery yayyy! I was looking to see how much my insurance would be as currently I pay £50 per month to M & S.

i looked on the usual places like Compare the Market and Money Supermarket etc, but the least expensive quote was £650!

I then looked at Tesco, put in my clubcard number and the quote was was £234!

What a difference, even if I change the amount of voluntary excess and add a few extras, it's still less than all the others. Very happy bunny.

We regularly switch between Tesco and Direct Line. Neither gives any loyalty incentives to stay, but they generally offer new customer deals, which result in a good price.
Had to claim through both over the years, and both have been very good to deal with.

glad to see, i am not happy with tesco at mo becoming very expensive. Does depend on area as well as many other factors
  • Tesco kept creeping my premium up, so used to switch between them and LV.
Just sold my car and had M&S car insurance at £223 fully comp £300 excess for that car for a year, Tesco wanted £339, with a higher excess.
I would go back with Tesco but its their customer service which has greatly lacked with my experience with them.
