Yes they do, and for those transfered from IB to CESA and are placed in the work-related activity group payment is only made for 365 days.

As above, but if you're single and have no other money coming in, or savings above £6,000. Request an ESA3 form fill it out, send it off..and you maybe entitled to Income Related ESA when the 365 days time limit runs out..

Thing is, you don't have to wait untill the 365 days is up to do this.

In November 2012 I was migrated over to Cont ESA (Wrag), with an 18 month prognosis. Aware of the 365 day time limit I requested and sent off the ESA3 form to apply for IR-ESA.

Last week I recieved a letter stating that from November 2013 when my Cont based ESA runs out, my benefit will change and I will be in receipt of IR-Esa, thus avoiding in break in benefit when the time limit is reached.

I would check out if you are eligible for IR-ESA if you are, request an ESA3 and post it asap.

He has been on incapacity since 2000 and until recently got income support top for most of this time, unfortunately payment for child was taken over automatically by CTC and so child taken out of calculations and put him over 'what the law states needs to live on' so no income support was in receipt whe ESA took over.

If transferred to support group from IB then it is contribution based with no time limit unlike WRAG which is limited to one year.

Limited to one year, though if you carry on claiming, and later qualify for the support group, payment resumes.

It should be noted that placement in the support group atracts an enhanced disability premium, this is means tested so assuming an income of only CESA in the support group then your friend may now qualify for a top-up of income related ESA.

The amount awarded is £118.95 will this include the enhanced premium? or is that the ESA on its own?
