Toilet Roll Bargain
Comments
-
Another Nicky fan here - but how many of us really appreciate why toilet rolls are so cheap? Is it because the bottom has fallen out of the market, do you think?:rotfl:0

I got 18 rolls of Andrex Eco from Ocado for 7.50 but it's no softer than Cushelle which I saw in Lidl today 24 rolls for 6.990

I don't see the point of expensive toilet roll as its all flushed down the loo the same way. Supermarkets own budget loo roll is harsh on my bum.0

Middy, I was with my mother in Sainsbury's and we found Regina quilted loo rolls which were cheap, soft and rapidly being carted away by customers. Went back to get more, all gone and have never seen them since anywhere.0

Hi Edwardia - I now buy the Regina quilted - they're just as good as Cushelle - and at the mo they're on offer in Wilkinsons at 95p for a 4 pack. They've been at this price for around a week, so I'm not sure how much longer it'll go on for. I've stocked up!
Oh, and welcome cdnkt6  Don't be scared - we don't bite (often)

I used to buy Nicky and really liked them BUT think I am allergic to the 'perfume' they use - never smelt any perfume but have been forced to buy rolls without perfume as otherwise I have problems.
Anyone else have the same problem with Nicky?
Just to test it was Nicky I used alternative with no perfume until problem sorted itself + a month away. Went back to Nicky & within 2 weeks the problem was back.0 -
I too have a problem with the 'lotion and fragrance' of the Nicky rolls. My favorite are the Plush brand from Home Bargains - 3ply and good quality. Unfortunately stock is very hit and miss at our local HB. This morning they had the 4 packs which worked out cheaper at 79p even than the 12 pack at £2.79. I carried out as much as I could carry!! Will go back tomorrow for more!0

Have Nicky stopped adding fragrance to their rolls (since the last few packs I've had there is no smell to them)?
