Low stars

It is odd to see so many low stars across all 4 categories, I think most people tend to get them in just one or two categories, or just one lot across all the categories from a single buyer.
That rather suggests a deeper issue so i'll try the daft questions first. Is there anything at all in the listing that might annoy people ? For instance , poor seller terms like lost responsible for loss in post, any long winded and un necessary blurb about why you charge what you do for p and p as that sometimes annoys buyers who might then go on to find minor faults and leave poor stars .
I think you really really need to turn that round as I suspect you are close to going below standard and then face restriction. I know it is hard but go free p ands for a while, or else charge slightly less than stamp price as psychologically the buyer thinks they have a bargain. You can get automatic 5* for communication by going to 1 day despatch, marking it dispatched it 1 day and NOT sending any emails through eBay. I would normally not recommend this but itnisnrare to see lows in communication.
I don't know what to suggest with item description except perhaps to get someone to look at your items and check them against the description on eBay . With jewellery you do need to be careful with small things like not over selling. If you are posting in 1 day on average then I have no suggestions for that category .
The only other thing I can think of is if you are a business are you registered as one, as not registering correctly can occasionally irritate buyers into poor stars as they somehow feel cheated .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Good advice Soolin.
I now offer free p&p and will be careful how i describe my Jewellery and show "better photo's" of the item (which i see now could've been my downfall).
I suspect a couple of people who recently left me neutral (2 Americans that were unhappy with delivery time over Xmas!
), just marked me down on all catagories....which is very unfair.
No point going to Ebay about it, as they will do absolutely nothing!0 -
Run a report by item number including the item you think the low is from and then any other 9 item numbers. If the low appears run the report again without the one you think it is and any 10 item numbers, if it's on the first report but disappears from the second you'll know exactly who it was.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

well i have finally got my head around how to identify who has left you low stars and it wasn't the lady i thought but one who bought a similar item the same day. Her feedback was "excellent product arrived day after order, 5* ebayer" so why then did she leave me a 1* for p and p. I charged her exactly what the postage cost and did not allow any extra for packaging. She paid for her item at 4.15, i posted it at 4.45 and it was delivered the next morning, her feed back was left by lunch time. I am not sure what i would have had to do to please her.
I think i was annoyed but felt better when i thought it was the lady where i had made a mistake and overcharged, i did refund her as soon as i realised i had overcharged but she had forked out in the first place. but the analysis shows she did leave me 5's across the board.
Rant over now and will put it behind me knowing you cant please everybody. The listing of p and p free is working i have had 18 sales in the last week and this has diluted the effect of the low stars significantly. Thank you so much for the advice on your seller dashboard thread Soolin, if it had not been for that i would not have known what to look out for and how to correct it so quickly.0 -
