Online Football Ticket Agents

I'm looking to get some tickets for a big football match and have come across a few online ticket agents but before I part with my cash (equivalent to around 4x the face value of the ticket...) I wanted to see if anyone has used a similar service. Very cautious of being ripped off and ultimately ticketless...

The most prevelant agent from web searches seems to be 1st4footbaltickets.com.

To be honest, I'm a little skeptical as to how they claim to have tickets to some of these events, particularly as it's well in advance of when the tickets go on general sale.

Does anyone know how they operate or have any experience of using one of these tickets agents?

Cheers - JeanClaude

I assume the URL you gave was a typo and should be 1st4footballtickets.com.

Never used them, but having looked at the website details, it has been registered since 2004, so the site has been around a while, which would give some confidence in them.

Are the individual tickets you are ordering over £100 each? If so then buy them with a credit card and you should be covered to do a Section 75 claim if the tickets don't turn up.
  • Thanks - Useful tip re. credit card

Yes it was a typo and your post included the correct name of the website.

    I wouldn't. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews230283.html

Depending on the team, viagogo are reliable and we've used them a few a few times.

What match are you hoping to go to?

It's actually illegal to buy football tickets in the uk from these sorts of sites. Viagogo is legal as it is a licensed ticket retailer but the others aren't.

Not sure if you are covered under section 75 if you deliberately make an illegal transaction.

Viagogo have to be the worst recommendation ever.

OP if you go on twitter and search the tweets of Twicets for face value, all matches have been covered on there

What about http://www.stubhub.co.uk/ ? Not used them myself but they don't seem too bad.

Rather than pay 4x as much consider hospitality tickets or getting them from the club direct.
